Getting Ready for Communion

The following morning the children met at St Andrew's. After doing some drawings and taking some photographs, they discussed celebration meals they've enjoyed. They suggested what good manners consist of before hearing two stories of Jesus's own table manners. The first story was when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples showing them how important service is. The second story was the story of the sharing of the one cup of wine and the bread at the Last Supper.
They noticed that because there are candles, evidence of singing and party food (bread and wine) there must be a party like celebration whenever Christians gather for worship. We wondered, though, if everyone who came realised that!
