3. OUR RESPONSE
We have four things to do when our eyes are first opened to the majesty of God.
1. Confess our sins
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9 NIV)
2 . Repent - say sorry - turn away from sin and towards God

In the New Testament, repent means "to think differently after", it is a change of mind and a change of heart.Listen to John the Baptist:
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" (Mark 1:15 NIV) 3. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
Trust him as your lord, saviour, example and guide. Devotion to Jesus is the heart of Christianity.
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31 NIV)
4. Receive Christ into our hearts
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10 NIV) | |
